Gorillaz Confessions
DON'T SEND MORE THAN 2 OR 3 CONFESSIONS AT A TIME PLEASE
This blog is put together by a Gorillaz fan for other Gorillaz fans to confess their, well, confessions of Gorillaz.
I post ALL submissions as long as they follow the rules. No matter if they are incorrect to the story or anything like that. Please don't RE-submit twice or more when you don't see your submission come up. It will be posted with due time;

It takes at least 2-4 weeks for a confession to be posted

I think every single song from Demon Days (not counting the intro) could have been a single

I hope Gorillaz’ next album gets another producer.

I don’t understand how, but I just love 2D, no matter what, he was my favorite from the start and inspired me to learn melodica

Murdoc is far from my favorite member of the band but I wouldn’t want Gorillaz without him. He’s really funny and charming and all, and is a key part to the band as much as the others (actually more so in ways). But he’s also pretty disgusting and all around portrayed as a horrible person so I really don’t see the appeal some people find in him. Especially if they find him really attractive or ‘misunderstood’ or something. I get it, opinions and all, but yeesh man.

I wish Tim Burton/Damon Albarn/Jamie Hewlett would work on a film/music together.

Trevor Phillips from the game GTA V reminds me Murdoc Niccals. Both are aggressive, are in their forties, are unhygienic and have lived in a trailer. It’s weird but whenever I’m playing with him, I like to imagine it’s Murdoc who is in his place making theft or hitting people

I cringe at fan fictions and roleplays in which Murdoc Niccals says the words “I Love You” regardless of the quality of their writing or the person he is saying it to.

I honestly think the Boogieman is Murdoc’s father and that Rhinestone Eyes is about Murdoc’s abuse as a child. To me, the video shows that Murdoc never forgives his father for hurting him and that the band is, in the end, his true family.

I have the feel that the Plastic Beach era was slightly predictable at the end of Demon Days. I remember listening to the whole album when I was on holidays on an island and the context just seemed perfect: the smell of dead fish and crap on beach, yet a cheerful atmosphere (a “summer vibe” that you can hear in Demon Days’ riffs). I think that’s the reason why both albums are my favourites, the transition was predictable but not obvious. We only had few clues about what was coming next. Genius!
